All my children love doing STEM activities. The only problem is we do not have enough materials in our classroom for them to fully benefit during that designated time. The activities we do have are very worn and dated. The students would love to have new materials that we could use and learn with. I could only imagine their faces if they had new items that would supplement our curriculum. Kindergarten is the foundation of learning. These activities help my students become inquisitive, free thinkers, I hope this will carry on through their entire educational career. Learning is not just pencil and paper. When the students get to create with the Magna tiles or the Playstix they do not even know that they are using critical thinking skills to build and solve problems. I love it! It also takes team work since they have to work together so it also helps with socialization. All around it is a win, win situation.
