After over 18 months of learning from home, my scholars have returned to school and are ready to work. As the new media specialist it is my mission to create a safe space that is welcoming and encourages learning. Although my students are reluctant readers I am committed to encouraging a lifelong love for reading by revamping the media services program. I am confident this is possible by establishing a space that students want to frequent. The media center is a pass through for students and flexible seating options will help transform it into a learning commons environment. Currently the space only has tables and chairs; however, with couches, bar stools, and ball chairs students will be able to comfortably read, relax and study.
