My students are in a small Texas town with no art supply store. We don't have a museum, but we do have a beautiful sky and landscape! Many of my students haven't had art until they reach my class. They love to draw and paint and make sculptures. They know a lot about ranching or small town life. They are generally enthusiastic people, even though many of them come from disadvantaged households and haven't had the opportunities afforded more affluent communities.
