Students at K. High come from a variety of different backgrounds, cultures and economic disadvantages. They come into school from a community ridden with poverty, drugs and violence. They face harsh realities no one should ever have to deal with. Regardless of all their challenges, they come to school with a determination to strive for success. My students are some of the most resilient and resourceful individuals I have ever known. While it can be easy to resign one's self to such circumstances, my students are steadfast in pursuing a successful future.
