My project incorporates student autonomy and technology in the classroom. Giving the kids more independence to check-in and out as needed and relieves us of violating Covid-19 Quarantine restrictions by eliminating the sharing the pencils and clipboards. A computer and barcode scanner that doubles as a research center, a student check-in/out scanner, and the class librarian. Additionally, this computer would serve as the backup and do duty as the catch-all for the room. It will function as the loaner computer for any student who is having computer issues, would function as the substitute's computer, and be available to project on the overhead when the teacher is using their personal laptop for lessons.
