A new Fender Jazz Band will enable our jazz students to learn their roll in the rhythm section of the jazz band without having to fight a donated instrument that is beyond our ability to repair onsite. Frets have been removed and endpin and soundboard are glued in place. A new bass will enable new bass players to learn their roll in the rhythm section of the jazz band without fighting the equipment. Many students who choose to learn bass in jazz band crossover from orchestra bass or even piano. They are hardworking students and should have the opportunity to learn on an instrument that is not falling apart and beyond repair.
