I am a 1st grade teacher, and I teach in a small school district located in Bishopville, SC. I have 21 students in my class. All of the students that attend my school receive free lunch and come from low-income families. However, you wouldn't know that by looking at them. They come to school everyday with smiles on their faces and a joy that makes me love what I do each and everyday. The school that I teach in is very old. It is the oldest school in our district. My classroom has very little resources and materials that I need on an everyday basis to make sure that my lessons are engaging and motivating for them.
