As a first year teacher, I want my students exposed to the wonders of technology and all that it offers. However, I am limited to only having access to six desktop computers. This means that my 28 students have to keep track of their time spent on the computer to ensure that all students get an equal chance to use the computers. By limiting my students to 15 minutes of computer usage at a time, they are not fully immersing themselves in mastering 21st Century skills. With the addition of the five Chromebooks, my 28 students will be able to access Google Classroom on a regular basis, update their digital Seesaw portfolio and enhance their learning through different mediums (videos, articles, etc). By gaining five additional Chromebooks, my 28 students will be able to develop their digital literacy and I can reach my goal of revolutionizing the way my students learn in the classroom.
