"The only way to get better at reading is by reading!" This is the motto in my classroom. Studies of middle readers continuously show that the best ways to improve their reading ability is for them to read more. While it sounds obvious and simple, the major hurdle in getting students to read more is having access to engaging and relevant books that spark their interest and get them hooked on reading. By 7th grade, many students have been turned off my reading because it is difficult or they find it boring.I want to help reignite a passion for reading by showing my students that there is a perfect book for them.
