In our classroom we work as a team. We collaborate with each other and support one another in our journey to becoming biliterate and bicultural. Having a space in the classroom for students to work together is extremely important. Right now when I want to meet with a group of students, we need to meet on the floor because we do not have a guided reading table. Each of my 47 students will benefit from the table throughout the day, whether it be when we are editing our writing, conducting experiments, playing educational games, or participating in reading group. Having a table in the classroom would provide us the space we need to work as a team, brainstorm, collaborate and create.
