I chose items that would most benefit our class as a whole. I want my students to be able to reach for items they need and have those items be available. I want them to feel welcome, loved and appreciated and to know that they belong and are safe in our classroom. My students should have a classroom that is welcoming and organized. They should have a book nook and library that sparks their imaginations. They should be able to find books that resemble them and their culture. I hope my students are excited to come to school everyday and learn everything they can absorb. I want them to graduate from first grade with a love for learning and growing.
