The materials I have selected will assist my students in numerous ways. The Bug, Farm, Butterfly, and Fish Counters will assist students in counting, sorting, and patterning to build their basic math skills. The Unlock It! Number Match will help students connect a number of dots by counting them and then matching them to the numerals on the keys for number recognition and one to one correspondence math skills. The Magnetic Pattern Block Design Cards are also for assisting students with patterns, as well as properties of shapes and symmetry gradually progressing to more difficult levels. The Magnetic Pattern Blocks will encourage students to build creative structures. Students will be building, using spatial reasoning, describing and naming shapes with the Magnetic Pattern Blocks. Students will also have the opportunity to flourish their literacy skills by matching upper and lowercase letters with Alphabet Learning Locks and create cvc words to build literacy skills with the Classroom Magnetic Letters Kit.
