My students are challenging, caring, kind, funny, goofy and eager to learn. They have shown me so much growth this year, not just academically but in their maturity as well. I teach 1st grade in a low income area and my students face many challenges in their everyday lives. They have experienced more in their short 6 or 7 years than I have in my entire life. I cannot even imagine being a child in their world. But each and every day, they come to school with a smile and a hunger to learn.
