I work in a public elementary school setting with children who have special needs. Our school continues to strive toward inclusion for all students, and we do a wonderful job. However, as with many schools these days, space is a big issue. The classroom in which I provide individualized instruction to my students is shared by 4 other teachers and 4 instructional assistants. We provide instruction to students from Kindergarten to 5th grade, with the children all trying to deal with various needs and challenges (physical, academic, social/personal, emotional, behavioral, etc.). I am seeking funding for a rolling teacher cart that would allow me to store all of the instructional and other materials that I need to work with each one of my students, regardless of where in the building I am working with them. This cart would allow me to change my location as needed so that my students have a quiet learning environment.
