My fourth grade class is made up of mostly English language learners. They come from homes where English is not the primary language and although this is not what defines their character, it is something that plays an important role in their learning. My students have quickly showed me that they are a dynamic,empathetic, compassionate group- all great qualities that only push me to look for ways that they can truly succeed and demonstrate their potential. They are full of life and are true learners in every sense of the word. They attend a small school- one classroom per grade- where they are a part of a classroom and school-wide community. Parent, student and teacher collaboration are they key to our school's success, which makes our students feel like their school is their second home.
