iPads in our 6th-grade classroom community would provide my students with access to local and worldwide current events, educational videos, further examples of what we are working on in class, perspectives other than our own, and research-related websites that would all contribute to our growth in math, English, science, and social studies. These various avenues of gaining information would help my students become well-rounded individuals. While using the iPads to study topics we are learning about, students would simultaneously learn the important skill of digital citizenship. These iPads would serve as a great addition to my classes of intelligent, curious, and thoughtful 21st-century learners. My 6th graders become so engrossed in learning when using online materials to research topics we are studying. Students would be able to share their findings with me, one another, as well as their family members through apps like SeeSaw, Google Classroom, or Class Dojo. These iPads would serve as bridges between my students, their loved ones, myself, and, further, the world.
