My students need a variety of highly engaging books to capture their interest and spark a desire to read. I've chosen books from a wide variety of author's, genre's and topics. I've chosen fiction and nonfiction books. I've selected many biographies about inventors, writers, singers and many more. I hope that these books will inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning. Some of the books included were, Saturday and Teacakes to capture their interest in reading and writing. Seven Spools of Thread and Martina the Cockroach to delve into and experience a wide variety of cultures. Also, celebrating some of the cultures that already exist within my classroom now. Hoop Genius and I Dissent to create discussion about the world and what their dreams for the future are.
