Last year was my first year as a teacher, and I never procured a rug for my second graders. While they always met me on the chilly linoleum floor with smiling faces, they deserved to be comfortable; they deserved a rug. This year, I am determined to make this a reality for my incoming students. I teach at a Title I K-2 Primary school in Illinois. 96% of our students are low income. My 28 students are energetic, driven, kind, and funny. They are always eager to learn and share their thoughts and opinions with one another.

About my class
