My students have a wide range of capabilities and challenges. Conditions like ADHD and ADD are on the rise, and I see it daily. Creating a calm, low-stress environment and atmosphere for all students is something that I take a lot of pride in. I handle the population of students that I work with differently than many other teachers. I want to reach them on their level and accommodate their individual needs. In my classroom, I want all students to feel comfortable, calm, and prepared to learn in whichever way is best for them - even if that means they need something a little different than the rest. Many of my students are unable to focus while sitting in a chair all day long. In my experience, these have worked wonders for these students without taking away from everyone else. We have Kindles that were funded through fund raising, however, we still need the case in order for them to be used in our classroom without getting damaged.
