Middle school can be such an uncomfortable, awkward, and challenging time. Thirteen year olds are striving to grow up, and yet are still so innocent. In a world where social media is glaring at them in the face, they need a place where they feel safe and can learn to connect. By providing comfortable and flexible seating, students can take charge of their education while feeling comfortable and free to express themselves in a learning environment with their peers. When students are comfortable, they are more calm and able to focus. Flexible seating also offers a way for students to collaborate and work with each other. By students working together, they are able to learn more than just enhancing their reading and writing, they learn essential social skills as well. Flexible seating is more than just providing different seating options. It empowers students to make choices, create social connections, and take charge of their education.
