Having leveled books in our classroom library will help build confident and engaged 1st grade readers. They will also introduce my students to many new characters and authors they've never heard of before. Having these new books would enrich our daily read aloud and independent reading time. The level books will help capture the heart of my little readers, and help instill a long lasting love of reading. These very books may be what a student looks forward to every day or every week.. Not just throughout this year, but in years to come in whichever grade or classroom I'm in!
