Just like the time of the explorers (which my students recently researched), the world is becoming a smaller place through technology. While explorers used navigation and seafaring skills with technology, students in the 21st century need to learn skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity (the four Cs). Our limited use of Chromebooks is assisting students in learning these skills. While developing these skills, my students are also learning how to become global learners by discovering more about the world around them and different cultures around the world. Your donation will provide additional opportunities for my students' to become global learners. Daily our class spends time building technological skills and the four Cs through the use of Google Classroom on a limited number of Chromebooks. Imagine how much learning my students can do when each student is able to access their own Chromebook without having to share with other students. I am so excited to see what they can do when given the opportunity. Thank you for your investment in my students who will be the entrepreneurials, professionals, and public servants of the future.
