Flexible seating gives my students the opportunity to be flexible with their learning. They take their learning and comfortability in our classroom into their own hands. Each of my students is responsible for placing them self somewhere they can be the most successful. This choice in placement takes place during whole group learning as well as independent work. My students expressed to me at the beginning of the school year they all learn different and want to be given the opportunity which is best for them to learn. Currently my students have the opportunity to move from different tables with chairs, sit at a floor table, or sit on the floor with a clipboard. These flexible seating options will give more of my students the opportunity to feel successful in their learning, because they were able to choose where they learn best. Your donation will help my students will have the options to find comfortability on the floor with back support, a hard elevated surface so they are not hunched over a clipboard, and the ability to wiggle while working without distracting those around them. Giving the students the opportunity to be in charge of their learning and letting them find success in their seating choice is so important to the growth and independence of my students.
