I am starting out this classroom with the theme of making everything bright and happy. Having this multi-colored rug for my students to learn on will help them significantly in engagement. Due to their age, they learn best when taught in various settings. This will allow me to promote a place they are comfortable and excited to be. They will start and end each day on their rug and use it for individual reading time as well. It will make an impact in their learning and help our class come close together by providing a place for calendar, instruction, story time, morning meetings, and end of the day reflections.
