As my class is preparing to conquer our first year together organization, classroom centers, and supplies are essential. As a first year teacher I quickly realized that supplying a classroom is expensive!
I want to be able to provide supplies and an amazing classroom environment to make my students' kindergarten year remarkable! By supplying pencils and scissors I can reduce stress from my students and parents if they cannot supply their own, and always be prepared so that my students have essential tools to complete their work. I believe that the chair sacks are essential for classroom organization because my students work on tables and not desks. Due to the lack of space in my classroom, each child is only designated a coat and backpack hook therefore, leaving no cubby space to store supplies. The sacks can allow students the freedom of their own supply space directly where they will be working.
The listening center can help enhance the reading, writing, and comprehension of the kindergarten students. By creating centers the students can work around the classroom instead of always at their tables. Due to the fact that our classroom and students are from high poverty areas any donations will do nothing but benefit the lives of each student. With these supplies our classroom can experience an amazing atmosphere to enhance learning that they may not have at home.
