Teaching with limited technology takes away from the learning in my classroom. Without access to audio and visual supports, my students are struggling to navigate through their reading. This donation will give me the opportunity to modify lessons to meet the needs of every student in my classroom - and foster a true connection with books. This laptop and speaker will allow me to provide a variety of resources to my students, like video clips, visuals images, audio books, and more. With these additional supports, we can bring books to life in our classroom! I will be able to engage students in books that are otherwise inaccessible to them, and help them see what they are truly capable of. A love of reading builds confidence that kids can take with them after school, and improves their chances of being successful in college or future employment.
