My students are 3 and 4 year olds with special needs in an Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) classroom. While our friends may need some additional help or different strategies, our students are vibrant, curious, and expressive! There's never a dull day in ECI, and we love it that way. Our morning class is our three-year-old class. For many of our AM friends, we are their first experience with school. We move, we sing, we dance, and we play. Every activity is an opportunity to learn something new-- for teachers and students. Our afternoon class is our four-year-old group, who we are helping to get ready for kindergarten or typical pre-k next year. There's still singing and dancing and playing, but we're also focusing more on school skills-- like sitting for longer periods of time and performing more tasks independently.
