My students come from many different cultural, socioeconomic, and language backgrounds. At home, my students speak Spanish, Swahili, Kirundi, and Kinyarwanda. They are all eager to learn! Many of them are fluent in their native languages, and it is my job to assist them in becoming fluent in English and succeeding in school in English as well. They attend an inner-city school in Michigan. I am so thankful to work with these students each day!

About my class
