My students live in a low socioeconomic area. They attend a school that is on an "Improvement Plan." Most of the families in this area are barely scraping by. As much as they would like to, the parents don't have the money to be able to provide their children with luxuries like school supplies or backpacks. Many students in my classroom are wearing shoes and school uniforms that have been donated by companies or businesses in the area. My students are appreciative of everything they have. They are extremely sweet and really do want to succeed.
