My students put so much effort into their work and this is a great opportunity to give back to them. We've been working on studying African Americans for Black History Month. My students have spent countless hours researching, writing a rough draft, conferencing with me, typing and finalizing their papers and then making beautiful watercolor portraits. Imagine glossy frames highlighting black history hanging around a school where around 90% of the student body is African American. How inspiring would that be? How proud would my students be to see and know their artwork and papers are being highlighted and seen by other students, staff and administration all around the school? I'm already proud of them but having the ability to buy them each a frame would make my students really proud, too.
