Students today are motivated by the use of technology. This is no surprise with the advancements in technology that are present in many of their homes. Between Fortnight and Minecraft, students spend much of their time at home on a computer. To connect to this desire for electronics, we have been using an online academic program to connect school learning to their home lives. These kids love their online learning tools, but our lack of headphones allows students to be easily distracted by the other computers around them. With these headphones, each student in my class will be able to tune out the distractions of the other computers, allowing them to focus on their own learning and advancement.
