In kindergarten it is very important that each child is given the opportunity to develop essential working, social, and fundamental skills. These two iPads will give my students the chance to work on required reading applications, record themselves reading, and author their own electronic story books. The leveled readers will provide each specific child in the class to have the opportunity to read interesting books, at their reading level. In kindergarten there is a fine line between an emergent reader and a beginning reader. It is essential that students have access to books that will meet their individual needs, while also exposing them to challenging text. The literacy center will ultimately provide students with guided practice to comprehend the text and reinforce fluency skills.
