I am requesting a class set of the book, Frindle, by Andrew Clements, and two bean bag chairs. Getting students excited about learning is half the battle. With this engaging story and beanbags, I hope to create a comfy reading space for my students. Frindle is the tale of a fifth grade, creative, troublemaker, Nick, with whom my students will surely relate to. I know that my diverse classroom of readers will love reading this book as they take on their first independent reading novel study in small groups. I cannot wait for my students to apply their reading strategies to this fun and exciting novel while showing off their reading skills!
