The materials requested will be used to help build on the overall performance of each student-athlete. Our facility is currently lacking any equipment to help build on the foundational skills the student-athletes will need to perfect before advancing onto the collegiate level. All athletes can use each item to strengthen his/her serving, passing, setting, spiking, and blocking skills. These items will be used in the gym at the school, but the lessons learned in the gym can be applied while the student is at home practicing. I expect to teach each athlete how to maintain a proper position for each maneuver to strengthen their abilities and prevent them from injuring themselves or others. From this opportunity, I aim to have each athlete who would like to play at the collegiate level, prepared to do so and earn a scholarship for such.
