The rug will be used during large group and small group times throughout the day. Students will share stories, share with partners and discuss their daily learning. Many lessons and games can also be played using this rug as the letters and numbers can be referenced daily. A way to share in a warm comfortable spot for all students. The students enjoy talking to others about their learning. A new rug will provide a safe warm space for this to happen. Many students in my class know that school is a safe place for them and a rug would make this safe place warm and comfortable.
