Content Standard 8.0: Career and Business Skills Performance Standard 8.1: Prepare and Explore Career Opportunities. 8.1.1 and 8.1.2: Students would have unique opportunities to explore and develop portfolios with a variety of photos for related career niches with the use of tabletop light boxes and drone photography. Equipment would be used by over 400 students annually to explore photographic careers. Tabletop light boxes would be used in the photography niches of culinary, fashion, macro, product photography, and social media. Drone cameras would be used to learn about and explore geological photography including land surveying, construction, search and rescue, and aerial photography. By donating to our classroom studio, you will be directly fostering students' passions for the field of photography, and helping them explore possibilities for possible career paths. There are many possible career paths available to skilled photographers who have experience in a variety of methods and genres. You would be helping them develop a broad portfolio with a comprehensive breadth of work for potential clients and employers. Performance Standard 8.2: Apply Workplace Skills to Production Projects. Students would also have an opportunity to experience and apply business skills and responsible teamwork within these unique niche projects. Providing this equipment is a positive step in bridging cooperative and social skills into tomorrow's workforce, which is something students missed while they worked from home during the Covid lockdown. With tabletop light boxes and drone cameras to share, students would be working in teams to apply workplace skills to their production projects. My students would love working excitedly, having fun, developing socially, and using unique equipment all while achieving workplace readiness!
