Welcome to my class page! I am Michele Williams, a teacher at Eldorado Elementary School in the East Ramapo Central School District (Spring Valley, NY). My school district is made of a very diverse group of students and faculty. We have a large population of ELL (English Language Learners) from many places such as Haiti, China, Africa, Guatemala, and Ecuador. Although we are very different, we share many commonalities. We all come from rich cultures rooted in a value placed on family, education and dreams. However, sadly, many students here in the district share an economic disadvantage. Most students have parents working two or more jobs, receive free lunch and struggle to collect supplies for school. Although we face economic pressure in the homes and in our school budget, we never let that effect our desire or ability to learn. We always find a way through community support and generous donors like you!
