I am a fourth grade teacher in a Chinese Language Immersion Program, and I teach two classes of 33 students. The students receive instruction in a 50:50 English to Mandarin ratio. Our unique language immersion program prepares our students to live and succeed in a global and culturally diverse workplace. Our instructional days are fast-paced, rigorous, and support student-centered learning that fosters creativity. My students are curious and intellectually flexible. They are dreamers, out-of-the-box thinkers, and creators. They are budding mathematicians, writers, scientists, linguists, and historians. We set high expectations for ourselves and work towards achieving these goals each day with a growth mindset.
