I am asking for a subscription to Flocabulary because my students struggle with vocabulary and therefore reading and comprehension. With a working knowledge of vocabulary and reading skills, they will be successful and lifelong learners. Donating to this project will help students be active participants in their learning, which increases their academic achievements. Through the use of educational hip hop videos, my students are highly engaged and motivated to learn new words and concepts as well as revisiting them until mastery is demonstrated. They thoroughly enjoyed the free trial we had. It transformed learning vocabulary and reading skills from a boring, eye-rolling, yawn-inducing task to a party in the classroom. I routinely get requests to put on the videos during independent work time, and I catch them singing the songs to themselves when they think I'm not listening!
