My students are staying hydrated, focused, and ready to learn, especially during those long stretches of the day when energy starts to dip. We've also introduced Frost Friday, a special weekly reward where students who show good behavior and strong effort get a cup of ice as a fun, motivating treat. It's incredible how something so small can bring so much joy, create community, and reinforce positive habits.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom and helping us create an environment where students feel cared for, motivated, and excited to come to school. I was able to see several students from my class start off the year only being able to read phonics books to reading chapter books. With the sand tray, students have been able to show me how they feel, recreate a situation, or just use it as a calm down tool. \r\n\r\nI often see that mental health is not taken seriously by some people, or is not given as much importance as other topics such as academic performance.
