Currently, my students are sitting on old carpet squares that are pulling up at the corners. The squares are old and stained and are not staying in the spots they are supposed to. Having a rug that has designated spots for my Kindergarteners to sit on would be absolutely AMAZING! This learning rug will be used every day in our classroom. It will provide a comfortable place for students to listen and respond to a read aloud. It will provide organization for turn and talk situations when peer learning is most valuable. This will be our classroom meeting place where we can share our thoughts, ideas, and learning with each other. This learning rug will be used during whole group instruction, partner time, and independent learning. The bright colors and alphabet awareness provided on this rug is welcoming and will encourage my students to join in on our learning fun!
