We are asking for items to extend our learning. I teach English Language Arts and Reading, but these items will be used to create student-led projects where students will apply their learning to plan and execute a way to share their learning. The Lego set will help them read and follow multi-step directions, and plan and code creations of their own. Snap circuits also challenge the students to read multi-step directions to execute a plan, or they can write up plans of their own to create, evaluate, and rebuild if needed. We also do book projects where the students make a plan to share their book in a variety of ways, but we're lacking good recording devices and backdrops to really make their ideas come to life. We encourage STEAM learning which blends together all of our subjects into student-selected projects where they can showcase skills they've learned in our class. So, the items requested through this project will support the creation of student projects to showcase learning.
