We have recognized that incorporating hands-on opportunities for learning has increased our students' willingness to participate and comprehension of educational content. A year ago our teaching staff began developing a STEAM focused science curriculum that is being implemented building-wide. Our students have risen to the challenge of STEAM, and many have discovered a love of science that they never had before. So far we have only had access to low-tech materials to support our emerging STEAM program. We would love to provide our students with more advanced technology like 3D pens and SnapCircuits to continue to enhance their flexible thinking and executive functioning skills.
