My school is a new public charter school with a drastically different learning model: use technology to facilitate student learning that is individually paced, allow frequent project-based collaboration, and let teachers provide help and support as needed in a non-lecture-based format. Because we are a new school, much of our operating budget has to be dedicated to large-budget items such as teacher computers, classroom items, and furnishings. Therefore, many of our teacher "wish list" items will need to be funded in other ways. The students we have recruited are outstanding examples of youthful enthusiasm in their many interests, both academic and otherwise. All high school students will be required to take two years of a foreign language (Spanish or Mandarin), so resources donated to us will likely be used by the entire high school population at one point or another. Please consider helping us fund this endeavor.
