Not all students are able to do their best work sitting at a desk. These seating options will give them some flexibility to move to other parts of the classroom to do their work. Some children work best at a desk, some on a couch, some on the floor, and others need a wobble seat to stay busy to pay attention. Flexible seating should be in every classroom. I am starting to work on creating centers with different types of seating options available for my science classroom. Eventually I would like to have five different seating station options throughout my classroom. The Big Joe Dorm Chairs being requested will be a start to create two of the five seating option stations for my classroom. Then the Giant Comfy pillows will be a third station with a short table or lab boards. My classroom will also eventually have a futon couch sitting area and a carpet area. The last item requested was the Basics Mid-Back Mesh Chair, this will be a new teachers chair for the classroom because the one presently in the classroom is broken.
