My students amaze me every day with the excitement and work ethic and I want to provide them with the tools for them to be successful. My students live in a very urban area, and many of them do not have access to technology and other materials at home. Most of my students are English Language Learners (ELLs), which is amazing to be able to speak more than one language at such a young age! When they come to school, I want my students to be able to succeed and use materials that will help him grow as a second grader. As a former first year teacher, it is hard to have all of the materials you need to have all of your students to be successful. Donors Choose has helped me to gain a lot of important materials, such as iPads, Flexible Seating options, Paper, Coloring Materials, and other helpful items that helped make my first year of teaching amazing and my students were SO grateful.
