This training will be used to provided certified yoga instruction to children who otherwise would not have that opportunity. This will include children with mental health challenges and trauma exposure. The classes offered will be taught with a fully inclusionary approach for all to access. The skills they will learn will help them manage their emotions throughout their lifetime. This financial support requested will cover 1/3 of the overall training cost. Having this certification would allow me to provide yoga and mindfulness work not only to students but also to staff and parents in the form of Family Engagement opportunities.
