We have one Human Anatomy and Physiology class where student work hard to earn college credits each semester. We have to move at a brisk pace to keep up with the college rigor. In order to meet the demands, we get creative! This is how we learn: body regions by Simon Says, bone bingo and life size skeletons, male vs. female Clay-Coxa, digestion system shirt quiz, living clay for our mini-skeleton (organs, vessels, muscles), interpreting human remains through bone mysteries, forensic case for blood typing, vital signs with stethoscopes and an EKG unit. I also incorporate Keep Learning on track (KLT) strategies such as: concept sorts, whiteboard review, and accordion summary. My students are adventurous and hungry to try new handcrafted techniques and lessons, so I continue to compose with them! "The mind cannot forget what the hands have learned." -Jon Zahourek
