The air-filled disks and resistance fidget bands allow students to move in their seats and gain proprioceptive input, which can make a significant difference for students with various learning disabilities and attention disorders. Dr. Eggleston’s research (2017) showed a 54% decrease in off-task behaviors when students were seated on these air-filled disks. These methods have been tested by other teachers at our school and they have seen significant improvement. We are hopeful to see these benefits transfer over to our students through improving their engagement. We hope to use the Dry Erase Board multiple times in a week in our classroom. We plan to teach in small groups as frequently as possible. This means our class will be split into two groups and will therefore need two spaces for the teachers to display instruction. This white board is key in allowing us to teach in small groups and therefore more effectively reach all of our students. By donating to our project you are helping to improve student attention and focus while helping us reach all of our students most effectively through small group instruction.
