I teach 4th Grade students in a large urban city in the Midwest. My children overcome many obstacles each day just to enter school. My students are titled often as "at-risk" or "high-need". Even with these titles they come into class with an enthusiasm for learning! What creates this excitement is having book choices for book clubs that are of interest to them and science and math materials to work with to learn and share new ideas.
